Swift Shift is delighted to partner with our client in their search for a passionate and experienced Chef de Partie to join their talented kitchen team.
Location: Derry City
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: Competitive, DOE
Job Description
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality cuisine and ensuring excellent food presentation. Working under the direction of the Head Chef, the Chef de Partie will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and garnishing food to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and garnish food orders according to recipes and plating standards
Cook sauces, soups, and hot entrees to perfection
Set up the station for both lunch and dinner service
Adhere to preparation, presentation, and hygiene standards
Maintain accurate portion control and presentation
Properly store unused food and notify the Head Chef of surplus stock
Ensure timely delivery of food from own station, asking for assistance when required
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations
Refer to recipe files for preparation guidelines
Collaborate closely with the Head Chef to enhance knowledge and skills
Essential Requirements:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a 4 or 5-star establishment
Level 2 Food Safety Certificate
Strong culinary skills with a passion for delivering exceptional cuisine
Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen environment
Desirable Skills:
HACCP qualification is highly advantageous
Previous experience in a hotel environment
