Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills, a deep understanding of food safety, and the ability to create a positive and productive kitchen environment. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food production, menu planning, and team management in our cafe.
Duties
• Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation.
• Develop innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
• Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food production and service.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and hospitality standards.
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
• Maintain cost control measures to optimise profitability while ensuring quality.
